Written on: October 26, 2022

Washington, DC – Women in Propane (WIP), an official business council of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA), recently launched a new podcast titled Through the Leadership Lens. The podcast hosts chat with industry influencers about everything from how individuals got into the propane industry to leadership qualities to emulate.

The team is formed by professionals eager to educate and entertain people throughout the world on the topic of leadership. Creator & Executive Producer Jessica Johnson, the National Accounts Coordinator at Thompson Gas, came up with the podcast idea while attending the Women in Propane Council’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Summit in Nashville. Johnson explains the “why” behind the podcast: “I wanted to help create something that was missing from the industry; a podcast from the WIP perspective, that pulls from the wealth of knowledge our leadership has.”

Bridget Kidd, one half of the seasoned industry podcast hosts, is the Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement at the Propane Education and Research Council. She’s been with PERC for more than 10 years in various roles and serves as the primary liaison between PERC and other industry groups. Her experience with PERC helps provide interesting insight into the propane industry.

The other podcast co-host is Freddie Ridler, Head of Business Growth and Marketing at Rural Computer Consultants. He has been with RCC for more than 17 years and is a valuable member of their leadership team. This isn’t Ridler’s first time as podcast co-host, he’s a seasoned vet who brings the energy to every episode.

Podcast Producer and Marketing Director Greg Wasson, is the Director of Marketing at Irish Carbonic / Irish Propane. Irish is a third-generation family operated business in Buffalo, New York. Wasson’s experience in the propane industry is instrumental in connecting with leaders throughout the nation.

Peini Spinazzola, the Senior Marketing Manager at RegO Products, is instrumental in the design and social media presence behind Through the Leadership Lens. The other marketing support is Chelsea Uphaus, the Director of Marketing at ROUSH CleanTech, who provides the written voice for the podcast. Their combined experience accelerates the young podcast on the fast track towards industry-wide influence.

This team represents a wide variety of experience and backgrounds, offering many voices and depth to the Through the Leadership Lens podcast.
