The Southeastern Convention and Expo opened with learning sessions on Sunday morning and an Opening Ceremony in the afternoon. The Trade Show began following Opening Ceremony activities with retailers and exhibitors acknowledging the strong attendance this spring. Late Monday, April 25th, the nightlife in Nashville was in full force with live music and large crowds at most bars in downtown Nashville undeterred by rain and enjoying the activity. Convention attendees enjoyed receptions and dinners including the Young Gassers Reception at the Hard Rock Cafe.

While there was much happiness at the convention, issues on everyone’s minds centered around the worldwide movement to electrify everything, uncertainty amid higher propane prices, inflation and its effects, rising costs of steel and everything else, and attracting quality employees. Next week, we will report on the extensive discussions of the movement to electrify everything and what everyone in the industry should do to combat it.
