Chicago, Illinois-based EDP announced that Scott Sturdivant has joined EDP as Region Director of Operations for the company’s Central region.
With more than 30 years of propane industry experience, Sturdivant brings extensive sales, operations, and management experience to EDP. In his most recent position, he served as Region Vice President with responsibility for 23 retail locations and 178 direct reports across three southern states. His region’s profitability translated into a Number One ranking company-wide for 10 straight years.
Among his achievements, Sturdivant prepared and implemented a strategic plan that was credited with successfully improving customer service and reliability. He also managed safety and compliance for his entire region, including safety and preventive/routine maintenance for a fleet of 160+ vehicles.
Sturdivant has received multiple industry certifications over the course of his career, and has been active in the Propane Gas Associations of Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.
