“Today I’m proud of what turned out to be an original idea that I had turned into a reality. Today marks the first annual National Propane Day!!!” said Charlie Ermer, Vice President of Business Operations at Palmer Gas & Oil in New Hampshire, in a post on LinkedIn. “I want to thank the Propane Gas Association of New England (PGANE), the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) and the Propane Education Research Council (PERC ) for their support in getting this kicked off the ground. Propane is a safe, reliable, cost effective, abundant fuel source with a low carbon intensity footprint. Today Palmer Gas & Oil celebrated by having delicious cookies made for this occasion.”
Christina Armentano, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Paraco Gas in New York, also posted on LinkedIn. “I’m proud to be part of such a wonderful industry and to celebrate the first National Propane Day! National propane day celebrates clean, safe, and reliable fuel that powers homes, businesses, and institutions. Homeowners love propane for their recreation and patio appliances, including grills, fire pits, patio heaters, and swimming pools, in addition to space heating, water heating, and cooking.”
“Business owners, local municipalities, schools, and hospitals utilize propane. They rely on propane to power up their forklifts and run their fleet of vehicles. In addition to heating their businesses, propane fuels their stoves and hot water and keeps their employees and customers warm while outdoors,” Armentano added. “They all choose propane because it’s clean, safe, reliable, and delivered by passionate business owners who care and love what they do.”
Last week, one way the company observed National Propane Day was to make a long drive to deliver much needed cylinders from Paraco Gas’s Waterbury facility to multiple home improvement stores across southwest Florida to help with hurricane recovery efforts.
“National Propane Day is Friday, October 7, 2022, and we’re celebrating all day long at Conger LP Gas!” stated a post on the Conger LP Gas Facebook page. “Visit us at all Conger LP Gas locations in Tifton, Sylvester, Moultrie, and Vidalia on Friday, October 7, from 8 am – 5 pm for a $12 20-lb. cylinder fill special.
