NPGA’S YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COUNCIL HOLDS DAY OF SERVICE

Written on: October 6, 2025

The National Propane Gas Association shared a few pictures of its’ Young Professionals Council’s second annual Day of Service on Monday, October 6th. A statement from NPGA said:

Thank you to all that supported NPGA’s YPC Day of Service with Operation BBQ. The lunches in FL, MO, and MN fed our first responders. A hot lunch is a little thank you for the job they do everyday.

Stephanie Hennen, who spearheaded the launch of the Young Professionals Council said:

“Happy National Propane Day!

Yesterday Lakes Gas had the opportunity to participate in the NPGA Young Professionals Council Day of Service to celebrate National Propane Day.

In Minnesota, we served hot meals to 200 firefighters & first responders! The YPC also held events in Tampa, FL & Kansas City, serving & delivering hot meals to approximately 1,000 firefighters & first responders across all three cities. All in thanks to our awesome volunteers and Operation BBQ Relief, the non-profit we had the honor of partnering with to serve local communities

I’m so grateful to work at a company that understands the importance of events like this.

A Day of Service has got to be the best way to celebrate National Propane Day.”

Martin Zenk, Sales with Propane Ninja, said:

“Yesterday, in honor of National Propane Day (October 7th), Propane Ninja® was proud to team up with Classic Roofing and Construction the National Propane Gas Association’s Young Professionals Committee and Operation BBQ Relief to give back to our local first responders.

The team assembled in St. Petersburg to deliver around 500 hot meals prepared by Operation BBQ Relief to fire stations across the area — a small way to say thank you to the first responders who keep our communities safe every day.

At Propane Ninja, propane isn’t just a fuel — it’s a force for good. From powering emergency response efforts and backup power to strengthening our neighborhoods’ energy diversity, we’re committed to supporting the people and communities that keep Florida moving.

Here’s to community, service, and the power of propane.”

Steve Kaminski, President & CEO of the National Propane Gas Association, said:

“It’s National Propane Day!

Kudos to the National Propane Gas Association Young Professional’s Council which celebrated by serving up its 2nd annual “Day of Service” yesterday.

Working in tandem with the amazing crew at Operation BBQ Relief, young propane professionals served hot meals–cooked on safe and reliable propane grills–to 1,000 firefighters and first responders in Kansas City, Tampa, and St. Paul.

A special thank you to the propane companies sponsoring this event … their generosity allowed the NPGA Young Professionals Council to make a $10,000 donation to Operation BBQ Relief. Operation BBQ Relief has served over 11 million meals following natural disasters, 99% prepared using propane.

If you’re 40 or under, please consider joining the YPC today!”
