The North Carolina Department of Agriculture issued an enforcement discretion—through October 11—for the delivery of LP-gas to other companies’ customers’ containers. This enforcement “waiver” was issued due to Hurricane Helene’s extensive flooding, power outages, and damage to infrastructure in the state.
This waiver is not intended to permit the assumption of service for customers, without notice, to the alternate LP-gas company. This is only applicable to the following counties in North Carolina:
Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Clay, Cleveland, Gaston, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Pol, Ruther, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, Yancey, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
