KAMINSKI TOUTS EPA DOUBLING PERCENTAGE OF CLEAN SCHOOL BUS AWARDS TO PROPANE VS. ELECTRIC OR NATURAL GAS

Written on: June 2, 2024

National Propane Gas Association President & CEO Steve Kaminski updated on LinkedIn recently about a significant increase in the percentages of funding propane school buses are receiving versus electric and natural gas:

“On May 29, the EPA announced awardees under the latest round of its Clean School Bus Rebate Program. 58 school districts across 23 states will have new low-emission, ultra-quiet, propane-powered buses on the road thanks in part to NPGA’s work before Congress and the EPA to create an eligibility pool for propane and to advocate for funding parity. The percentage of award funds that went to propane buses—versus electric or natural gas—nearly doubled compared to 2022 awards.”
