warm thoughts

It is with a heavy heart EDP shares the passing of friend and colleague Scott Graham after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Scott passed away January 29th.

After serving in the Navy, and later in the Naval Air Reserve, Scott found his way to the propane industry where he built an exemplary 40-year career. He joined EDP with Expo Propane – the company’s third acquisition – in 2014. In addition to continuing to manage Expo Propane in Los Angeles for many years, Scott served in a variety of important leadership roles with the Western Propane Gas Association. Scott had such an impact on the WPGA, its annual Advocacy Award will be given in his honor to future recipients.

Scott also had an outsized influence on the growth of EDP in the years that followed Expo’s acquisition. His latest role at EDP was as Regulatory Affairs Manager. He was passionate about the industry and was both respected and much loved by his many colleagues.

Outside the industry Scott actively volunteered with the Optimist Club and its Youth Home, and with organizations in which his three kids were involved. Scott leaves behind Vicki, his loving wife of 40 years, and his three adult children.

Scott faced his cancer with courage and hope, participating in multiple drug trials. Even though the trials might not mean his recovery, he wanted to see an eventual cure for other people. During his treatments he worked actively to expand the Cancer Support Community-South Bay. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to www.cscsouthbay.org.

Scott has left a legacy that will be remembered forever.
