Conger LP Gas, based in Tifton, GA with several locations in Southern Georgia is always welcoming community members for various activities at its office. One annual popular event is Hometown Heroes, usually close to “Back to School” time. The event brings together First Responders such as Police Officers and Fire Fighters, Military Members, Government Leaders and many more. Bingo and Bluey and Kona Ice are two more of the many features of the event. A news report on local station WSWG-TV discusses with Conger’s Kirsten McAlpin, Marketing & Public Relations Director, that a key goal of the event is to help kids learn about and feel comfortable interacting with the community members who serve and protect their community.
