Recently members of the Propane Peer Group, a Benchmarking Group that meets annually, visited Waring Oil Company’s newest state-of-the-art facility near Mobile, AL following a couple of days of meetings and events. Group Member Howard Waring, Owner of Waring Oil Company, led the tour along with General Manager Jamie Yearwood and Waring Oil’s Craig Watkins and Mart Windham. Waring Oil Company, founded in 1938 and headquartered in Vicksburg, MS, is a private company that offers fuel transport services, retail partnerships, and specialty lines of lubricants and bio-remediation products. In 1960, Waring Oil purchased Neill Butane which had a name change to Neill Gas in 1989 after growth in the retail propane market in the Mississippi and Louisiana areas.
