On the eve of November 5, 2024, we stand as a nation armed with the most formidable instrument ever created: the right to vote. We are blessed with the ability to prescribe our country’s leadership, direction, and purpose, both in private and without judgment or fear of reprisal. The power of the polls not only shapes the country’s policies on economic, social, and global matters, but directly impacts our lives in the propane industry.
Every leader we cast a ballot for next week—from the President of the United States to your Township Supervisor—matters when it comes to safeguarding our industry’s principal tenet: that energy-neutral solutions are vital to solving the complexity of generating abundant heat and power for a growing population with minimal detriment to the climate, resiliency needs, or socioeconomic burden on our citizens.
We at NPGA will work across the aisle, and our advocacy teams are well-positioned to make an impact no matter who sits in office. But I encourage everyone in our industry to not only vote but also recognize how every box we tick impacts our industry and the good of the people across this great nation.
Post-election, I invite you to join NPGA for a webinar, Post-Election Analysis: Political Implications for the Propane Industry, on Tuesday, November 12 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET. The discussion will focus on the election’s impact on the propane industry, the lame-duck session this year, and what to expect in 2025 and beyond. There will be a Q&A so please bring your questions. The calendar invite with the Zoom link to participate is here.
